Diamond grinding is used on concrete
floors to clean dirty floors or existing
floors that have had previous floor
coverings or sealers. Diamond grinding
leaves a desirable floor finish to stain,
seal or coat the concrete. It is also done
on new slabs with imperfections such as
trowel marks and high spots.

one pass. It is the preferred method of
concrete prep for coatings to allow for
maximum adhesion. It is also used to

application of a densifier to achieve a
highly scratch resistant and easy to
maintain floor. Each grit of diamonds
creates its own scratch pattern as it
takes out the scratches from the previous
diamond step. The entire process entails
metal bond and resin bond grinding,
application of densifier and stain guard
type chemical to protect the concrete in
case of spills. The process involves at
least 7 steps of grinding. A true polished
floor is not burnished with a high speed
machine until the end to ensure a deep
penetrating polish.
